Profit is necessary but does not need to be optimised
Any operation need relevant resources to be able to continue developing, thus our philosophy is that any venture we enter into must be a sound business, i.e. generating a healthy return on investment. This is also necessary in order to attract investors. We will however never try to optimise the return on behalf of achieving our mission.
An example of what that can mean is that we can allow advertisement on a free knowledge website that we operate but we would limit the amount of adverts so they do not interfere with the visitors experience.
